C.H.A.R.M. stands for "Croton Humanities Arts Reflection Music." This is a program that focuses on the humanities, including history, language, law, literature, performing and visual arts, religion, philosophy and literature. Funded by a combination of a grant from the community group Arts in Our Schools (AIOS) and the school district, the board of education will discuss implementation of this experimental program and learnings thus far.
Virtual High School allows CHHS seniors the opportunity to take an on-line course offered by a world wide consortium of school districts. Students may take courses that we cannot offer at CHHS due to our size. Selections include Advanced Placement courses, courses in creative writing and genetics, and advanced (college level) mathematics classes (to name a few). Our students in these courses have classmates from around the world. Some of our students who completed their first VHS course during the first semester will share their experiences with the board of education at the January 20 workshop.
