CHARDONNAY 2008, Oxford Landing, So. Australia
Light gold color with green tints. Elegant bouquet of melon and citrus. The palate has tropical flavors well balanced with good acidity and a soft presence of wood. Nice clean finish. This wine is ideal for those who do not care for over-oaked chardonnays.
CARMENERE 2007, Root: 1, Chile
The wine has a deep cherry color. The bouquet is an exciting mix of berries and spices with a palate that has gentle tannins and flavors of plum, berries and chocolate. Great finish with - yes - that delicious hint of chocolate! Another plus, a great looking bottle. The Carmenere grape originated from France but is now the signature grape of Chile.
Both wines were purchased from local wine shops and Are priced under $15.
