PINOT GRIGIO, 2008 RIFF (Italy)
The grapes for this wine come from vineyards located in North-eastern Italy at the foot of the Alps. The color is medium straw and you will find hints of peaches in the bouquet. The wine is medium bodied with a lovely elegance that is followed by a full finish. This Pinot Grigio is fermented in stainless steel tanks followed by maturation on its lees to enhance fruit flavors.
VITIANO Rosso, 2007 (Italy)
This rich, dark-colored wine is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. You will find hints of cassis in the bouquet and the rich, full body has forward flavors of chocolate and dark cherries. The French Oak barrels used for ageing add a sweet flavor. Vitiano Rosso comes from the Umbria area of Italy.
*Both wines were purchased from local wine shops and are priced
under $15 a bottle.
