RIESLING 2008, Chateau Ste. Michelle, Columbia Valley, Washington State.
This off-dry Riesling has glorious aromas followed by flavors of peach, lime, and apricot. The warm, sunny days and cool evening temperatures of the Columbia Valley created ideal conditions for this refreshing and crisp wine. Serve it chilled with fresh fruit and mild cheeses.
ZINFANDEL 2008, Cline Cellars (California)
The winery is owned by Fred and Nancy Cline. Fred learned his respect for agriculture from his grandfather, Valeriano Jacuzzi of pump and spa fame. This Zinfandel has a lively strawberry bouquet with smooth cherry and raspberry flavors and a easy , fruity finish. Cline Cellars farms naturally and avoids pesticides, fungicides and fertilizers that are used in everyday farming. This is a great Barbecue wine!
*Both wines were purchased from local wine shops and are priced under $15 a bottle.
