The exhibition chronicles one of the most phenomenal publishing successes in the 20th century...all happening in our backyard of Westchester. It's the amazing story of how DeWitt and Lila Acheson Wallace founded Reader's Digest in 1922, moved to Pleasantville and then Chappaqua, and established the first foreign edition in 1938 - all part of an ever-expanding publishing empire that eventually reached 100 million people worldwide.

Visitors to Amawalk Farm come every weekend starting in June until the first frost (around October 15) to pick luscious, certified organic raspberries. Marian Cross, a former non-profit executive, and her husband Larry converted their weekend house into what is now a five-acre “u-pick” farm. Besides succulent raspberries, the Crosses also grow lettuce, 29 varieties of tomatoes, summer squash, pole beans, herbs, and flowers. This 26.2 mile trail is perfect for hiking or biking. The main offices here in Dobbs Ferry are a great place to purchase the award-winning map and guide of the trail, but you can find your way onto the OCA anywhere between Yonkers and Croton-on-Hudson to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

The Peekskill Playhouse and The BeanRunner (an art and music cafe) are joining artistic forces to create Peekskill's first theatre space for original works by emerging playwrights. It's called, The BeanRunner Cafe Presents: The Peekskill Playhouse - Original Plays on Stage. On the last Sunday of every month, at 4:30PM, dramatic readings will be staged with talk backs with playwright and cast. Twice a year, The Peekskill Playhouse will put on full productions. Tickets are $5 at the door for readings, $15 for full productions. Doors open at 4PM for these special events. Food and drink will be available for purchase twenty minutes before the show. These two organizations are committed to enriching Peekskill as a thriving art mecca in Westchester. It begins on April 25. The BeanRunner is located at 201 S. Wildflower Island is a unique, two acre refuge within the greater Teatown Lake Reservation preserve that is home to over 230 native and endangered species of wildflowers. Wildflower Island, which is an actual island within Teatown Lake, is “managed” only to the extent that invasive alien plants are removed and certain native competitive species are not encouraged. Children under 12 are not permitted on the Island.
